If a SAS® Stored Process contains a prompt named _action, then the name is case sensitive and must be specified in lower case characters.
The _action variable is a reserved macro variable that is reserved for special purposes in SAS Stored Processes. If this variable is specified in upper case ( _ACTION ) then it will not be recognized as a reserved macro variable.
As an example, fhe following prompt will work properly:
_action=BACKGROUND
_ACTION=BACKGROUND
